Dear Ivy family:
This is an update from your elders in the midst of this global pandemic. We met again last Tuesday evening via a telephone conference to keep up to date on the needs of the congregation and to look forward to the future.
COVID-19 is an unprecedented situation that has separated us from loved ones and our church family. It is a difficult time for everyone. Please hold each other up in prayer and keep in touch with those who may be lonely. Let your elder know if you have needs that we could help with. Things are changing daily and we want you to know that your elders are doing their best to keep up with the situation and plan for what lies ahead.
Our Interim Moderator, Rev. Darren May, continues to provide us with weekly inspirational messages through You Tube. He also is guiding the Session through the challenges of what may lie ahead for us as a worshipping congregation. Currently, the province is allowing gatherings of only 5 people so public worship is not possible. We will monitor the situation and advise when things may change. We have also had to cancel our Vacation Bible School for this summer.
God has got this, He is still in control and we need to have faith in Him as we follow the guidelines that have been laid out to keep us safe. Sending virtual hugs to all.
